MANILA — Authorities caught several buses showing pirated copies of the Star Cinema hit “Hello, Love, Goodbye” and confiscated several USB flash drives during a raid on a transport terminal in southern Metro Manila on Wednesday, the government’s anti-film piracy arm said.

Metro Manila Bus Co and Saulog Transit could be charged for violating the Optical Media Act for showing “Hello, Love, Goodbye.” SanTrans Corp will face a similar charge after being caught showing a pirated copy of “Avengers: Endgame,” the Optical Media Board said.

The OMB said it inspected the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange after receiving a tip that a pirated version of the Kathryn Bernardo-Alden Richards movie was showing there.

If found guilty, those charged could be imprisoned for up to 6 years and fined up to P1.5 million, the OMB said.

“Hello, Love, Goodbye,” the story of 2 Filipinos working in Hong Kong, has grossed P800 million worldwide so far, according to Star Cinema.

Star Cinema is the movie arm of ABS-CBN Corp. News.abs-cbn.com is the company’s official news website.
