MPA Presents Best Producer Award at the 13th Wildflower Film Awards

The Motion Picture Association (MPA) was proud to present the MPA Best Producer Award at the 13th Wildflower Film Awards Ceremony in Seoul, recognising excellence in South Korea’s independent film industry.

MPA Korea Managing Director Bo Son presented the award to Jang So-jeong, producer of the acclaimed film People and Meat. As part of the award, Jang received an invitation to attend the Asia Pacific Screen Awards and Academy Forum in October, providing an opportunity to connect with filmmakers and industry professionals from across the region.

The Wildflower Film Awards celebrate the creativity, innovation and achievements of South Korea’s independent filmmaking community. For MPA, the event serves as an important platform to engage with independent filmmakers, strengthen relationships across the local screen sector and support coalition building efforts within the broader creative community.

This year’s awards also received official support from Netflix, underscoring the growing recognition and importance of South Korea’s vibrant independent film ecosystem.

Through initiatives such as the MPA Best Producer Award, the MPA remains committed to championing creative talent and supporting a thriving film industry across the Asia Pacific region.
