July 14, 2026

On 14 July, the Motion Picture Association (MPA) welcomed government leaders, policymakers, studio executives and filmmakers for the return of Thailand Success Stories, an annual event celebrating the continued growth of Thailand’s screen industry and exploring opportunities for its future development.

Held with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Thailand Film Office and the Creative Economy Agency (CEA), the event highlighted the increasing contribution of film and television to Thailand’s creative economy, cultural influence and international profile.

The seminar showcased a range of successful Thai productions and examined the factors driving the industry’s momentum, including investment, talent development, international collaboration and the creation of valuable intellectual property. Discussions also focused on how Thailand can build on recent successes to further strengthen its position as a leading destination for film and television production.

Following the seminar, MPA hosted MPA American Film Night, celebrating the longstanding partnership between the Thai and American film industries. The evening also featured the announcement that applications are now open for the MPA Asia Pacific Screen Awards Academy Film Fund, providing support for emerging filmmakers across the region.

The event underscored Thailand’s growing prominence in the global screen industry and the importance of fostering an environment where creativity, investment and strong intellectual property protections can continue to support the sector’s long term growth.
